How it started
Honestly, it started over a lot of bad coffee. Our founding team had spent years building execution systems for institutional desks, and the same question kept coming up at family dinners: "Why can't I get something like that for my TFSA?" Fair question. We didn't have a good answer, so in 2019 we started building one.
The first two years were quiet — private testing, lots of broken backtests, a few ideas we were glad to throw away. Public registration opened in 2021 for Canadian traders. In 2023 we added Australian users and ASX coverage, and the 2026 release is the most careful version we've shipped so far.
What we believe
- Your money stays with you. We never hold client funds. Trades run through your own regulated broker account.
- Explain, don't mystify. Every automated trade comes with a plain-English reason. If we can't explain it, it shouldn't run.
- Risk first, returns second. Guardrails like drawdown limits are switched on by default — not buried in settings.
- Simple pricing. A flat monthly fee. No commissions, no performance cut, no surprise charges.
Who we build for
Mostly beginners and intermediate traders in Canada and Australia — people with jobs, kids, and not a lot of time to stare at charts. If you're a high-frequency day trader, we're probably not your tool, and we'd rather tell you that up front.
Expertise and oversight
Our models are reviewed by people with backgrounds in quantitative finance, risk management and software security. Strategy changes go through internal review and paper-trading periods before they reach live accounts. It's slower than shipping on a whim. We think that's the point.
